What even is Jellyfiends?

Well, besides being a group of movie & television lovers, it’s the name of our private media server. Let me break it down for you!

### THE SOFTWARE

Jellyfin is a server software that can run on most modern operating systems. (Windows, Linux, MacOS) Jellyfin plays video files directly from your filesystem & transcodes/streams them to your player. It supports most common devices such as, Roku, Apple TV, iOS, Android (Mobile OS and TV), and others.

- Intel Core i7-11700KF 
- 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz
- RTX 4070 Super
- 5.25TB of HDD Space
- 1GB/1GB Fiber Internet
- Reverse Proxied via a VPS

### THE STATISTICS

With over 800 Movies, 70+ TV Shows, and over 1,000 songs we've watched close to 30% of the media on the server. We constantly add new content, and we even host some of our own content on the server. 

We try to keep the server online 24/7, but this is realistically impossible as it's ran at-home, in our bedroom. We're currently at about 3.7TB of used storage, with over 1.5TB left to spare.
